AT&T gets into shared data
Just over a month after Verizon announced Share Everything, AT&T is getting into the burgeoning shared data game (as it’s been saying it would) with Mobile Share, a tiered set of plans that allow subscribers to split a single bucket of gigabytes across up to ten devices with unlimited messages and voice.
Looking at the various plans, it actually looks like it might be cheaper than using multiple individual plans or even a family plan. Especially if you have one or more iPads with their own data plans. These plans include unlimited voice and text and a shared bucket of data ranging from 1GB to 20GB. For two people, each having an iPhone and an iPad, the 6GB plan (reasonable for most people) would cost $180/month.
